At allaboutquarks, we believe that high-tech knowledge is the ultimate foundation for the businesses of tomorrow. Yesterday, our Tandem Mentoring Program shifted its focus from the lab to the market, exploring the world of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Navigating the Startup Ecosystem
The session, led by Florian Sägebrecht (launchhub42), highlighted the strategic importance of Quantum Communication within the German Federal Government’s High-Tech Agenda. Florian illustrated that with current political and financial support, there has never been a better time to scale quantum technologies.
Adding to this momentum, Anton Schoepe from the Young Founders Network (YFN) shared a “founder’s mindset” roadmap, offering our mentees practical advice on navigating the journey from a scientific idea to a successful startup.
From Ideation to Collaboration
The energy peaked during our “Startup Speed Dating” session. Participants were challenged to use their quantum expertise to develop rapid-fire business models. The creativity was remarkable, ranging from secure infrastructure solutions to specialized hardware concepts.
To wrap up the day, the group voted on the most promising startup idea and spent the final hour collaboratively refining it. This collective deep-dive demonstrated exactly what our program stands for: transforming academic excellence into real-world impact through collaboration.
We are proud to support these future innovators as they bridge the gap between quantum theory and the global market.
