Last week, allaboutquarks teamed up with Kino im Kasten at TU Dresden for a special screening of the sci-fi thriller Coherence. The event brought together around 30 people to explore the intersection of cinema and science, followed by a discussion session led by Moritz Langer to address the quantum themes featured in the plot.

The film served as a catalyst for a broader conversation about how science is portrayed in popular media. Rather than focusing on technical depth, Coherence uses quantum concepts to build its narrative, sparking a “think-along” atmosphere that resonated with the audience. The collaboration showcased how an approachable cinematic experience can open the door to scientific topics for everyone, regardless of their prior knowledge.
